Hertfordshire Sports Village is a state-of-the-art sports facility with something to offer everyone, from complete beginners to elite and professional sports people. Whatever your sport or preferred activity, you have the opportunity to enjoy great quality sports, health & fitness facilities and services.
Principally for student use, the sports village is also open to the local community who can access the facilities and services available on a pay-as-you go or membership basis. At some times certain areas of the Sports Village are used exclusively by the university, which may limit casual use. For further information on availability of specific facilities and services, please contact reception.
Hertfordshire Sports Village boasts a wide range of state-of-the art facilities for fitness, swimming, climbing, racquet sports, football, basketball, volleyball, cricket and much more.
Several types of membership are on offer at Hertfordshire Sports Village:
- There is a membership scheme for the gym giving unlimited use of the gym, group exercise classes and swimming.
- Sports Village membership offer discounts on pay and play sessions and provides advanced booking and payment privileges.
- Swim only membership offers unlimited use of our fantastic 25 metre pool.
- Climbing membership offers unlimited use of our impressive wall.
- Flexi Fit pay-as-you-go membership is available to our standard members (non-student, non-staff) providing access to the gym, group exercise classes and swimming.
Please note that non-members can use all pay and play activities but there is a guest fee of £1 for each non-members. Please visit our membership pages for details of payment and usage options for accessing our facilities and services.
Members are able to book any activity up to 7 days in advance by phone or in person and pay for that activity at the time they attend. Non-members have to pay for all bookings at the time the booking is made, must make all bookings in person (we do not accept telephone bookings from non-members) and can only book 6 days in advance.
People with disabilities have access to all areas of Hertfordshire Sports Village and can use all the services available. There is a disabled lift for ease of movement around the site, hoist for pool access and ample staff support.
