British Olympic Swimmer and British Record Holder Adam Brown has chosen Hertfordshire Sports Village as his training base ahead of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Adam has previously been based in Australia and the USA where he had been coached by some of the leading sprint coaches in the world but has chosen to return to his home club in Hatfield to be coached by long-term adviser Nick Juba in a bid to make Team GB for his home Olympics.
Adam competed in his first Olympics in Beijing in 2008 where he finished 8th in the 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay and he aims to go even better in London and make the podium with his relay team mates, an achievement already accomplished at Commonwealth and European Championships.
Adam trains 21 hours over 6 days every week covering 40,000 metres per week. He also benefits from strength & conditioning sessions with the team at Performance Hertfordshire and Physiotherapy from Bodybalance Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic at the University’s Sports Performance & Development Centre on the de Havilland Campus.
