Air rifle shooter James Huckle looks set on Olympic success. Having picked up three gold medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2008, the aspiring shooter went on to win two silver and two bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and is now a hot favourite for the 2012 Olympics.
The 21 year old from Harlow is currently competing at the Intershoot 2012 International 10m Air Rifle Competition in the Netherlands and looks unstoppable. Huckle has obtained a new Senior British International Record Score which is only two points shy of the world record.
In his bid for Olympic success, James will be competing in the European Championships in Finland in mid-February which is his final opportunity to earn a place at the Olympics.
James has been accessing services at Hertfordshire Sports Village for the past three years through TASS (Talented Athlete Sports Scholarship) scheme. James receives his strength and conditioning through Performance Hertfordshire and physiotherapy support through Bodybalance, the Sports Village's resident Physiotherapy and Sports Imjury Clinic at the Sports Performance and Development Centre.
