We regret to inform you that online bookings cannot be accepted if you are wishing to pay via Childcare Vouchers. Customers wishing to pay via this method can however make their bookings via email to HSV.childcarevouchers@herts.ac.uk, in person or over the phone on 01707 284466.

  • Please ensure you are booking a minimum of two weeks prior to the activity start date. If you are booking within two weeks of this date, you will be asked to pay using an alternative payment method.
  • Each email should request a booking(s) for one child only and should state the child’s name and member ID (if known) in the subject line.
  • Once your booking(s) has been made you will receive a confirmation email with the information required to make the payment through you Childcare Voucher provider. Please do not send the payment until you have received this email and let us know if you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours of your booking – something may have gone wrong and we apologise for this.
  • Please make prompt payment as any debts MUST have been settled on your account prior to the activity start date. This process can take over a week after your Childcare Voucher provider has released the payment so please bear this in mind at your time of booking. If payment hasn’t been confirmed as received by the date of the session, you may be required to pay via an alternative method when you arrive at HSV.
  • Please make separate childcare voucher payments for each child ALWAYS stating the unique membership ID as the payment reference. This will ensure that payment is allocated to the correct child’s account and activities and avoid any confusion. We are unable to process payment for more than one child at a time and each payment must be for the exact amount, meaning no under/overpayments can be accepted.

One-to-one Swimming Lessons

  • Childcare Voucher payment requests can only be processed via email and are unavailable in person or over the phone. You must make the payment request a minimum of two weeks before the lesson. If it’s within two weeks of the lesson, it’s unlikely we will receive the transfer ahead of your child’s swim lesson.
  • To do this, please email your request PRIOR to sending payment, to hsv.childcarevouchers@herts.ac.uk You will receive a confirmation email with the information required to make the payment through you Childcare Voucher provider. Please do not send the payment until you have received this email and let us know if you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours of your request.
  • Each email should request a transfer for one child only and state the child’s name and member ID (if known) in the subject line.
  • Please make prompt payment after receiving the confirmation as the payment MUST be showing on your child’s account prior to the lesson date. This process can take over a week after your Childcare Voucher provider has released the payment so please bear this in mind at your time of booking. If payment hasn’t been confirmed as received by the day of your lesson, you will be required to pay via an alternative method when you arrive at HSV.
  • To avoid confusion and to ensure the right activity/child is allocated to the payment, please make separate childcare voucher payments for each activity per child ALWAYS stating the unique membership ID as the payment reference. We are unable to accept a single payment for more than one child/activity. Each payment must be for the exact amount, meaning no under/overpayments can be accepted.
  • You must top up your private swim lesson credits in blocks of three. Please see table below for total amount to transfer per child.

Group Swimming Lessons

  • Top-ups via Childcare voucher can only be processed via email and are unavailable through the HomePortal, in person or over the phone. Please ensure you have a minimum of two lesson credits left prior to your request. If you have less than two credits, you will have to top up using an alternative payment method and wait until the next top up to pay by childcare vouchers.
  • Please email your top-up request PRIOR to sending payment to hsv.childcarevouchers@herts.ac.uk You will receive a confirmation email with the information required to make the payment through you Childcare Voucher provider. Please do not send the payment until you have received this email and let us know if you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours of your request.

  • You may choose to top up your lesson credits in blocks of 10 or 20. The price for per block of 10 is £75 for Stages 1 - 7 and £105 for Club Foundation level.
