Fencing is one of the most sophisticated and tactical sports on offer, as well as a great way to keep fit and have fun. The University Fencing Club offers something for everyone - including existing fencers that are looking to improve their skills, as well as novices who want to try a new sport, all new members are welcome to join. The club has a men’s side competing in BUCS and also supports women wanting to compete.
The Fencing Club compete in the National University League and Cup programmes managed by BUCS:
Men’s 1st: South Eastern Tier 2B and Conference Cup
Trials and taster sessions will begin during the first week of term after fresher's week.
You must pre-register to attend these at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.
All members must have signed up to the Club before their first fixture, whichever comes first.
The Fencing Club is coached by a highly experienced and qualified coach.
