The Kickboxing Club caters for every level of experience, from seasoned competitors, wanting to improve upon their abilities, or those just wanting to get fit! Training is held in a very sociable environment with a fantastic coach that has over twenty years of martial arts experience. There are opportunities to take this training into practice with national competitions that happen throughout the year, in addition to the chance of being graded through the belt system.
For those wishing to compete, the Club normally participate in some competitions building towards the University Kickboxing Championships that normally take place in March.
Trials and taster sessions will begin during the first week of term after fresher's week.
You must pre-register to attend these at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.
All members must have signed up to the Club before their first fixture, whichever comes first.
The Kickboxing Club is coached by a highly experienced and qualified coach, who has over 20 years of martial arts experience and a long-standing part of the Club.
