The Rowing Club welcomes all levels of ability from complete novice to the experienced competitive rower. Water training (with a former Olympian and Henley winning coach) is held at Lea Rowing Club, where everyone is also given membership. Training also includes ergometers, circuits and gym work. There is an opportunity to compete in a number of events hosted by the Lea, British Rowing and BUCS, which cater for all standards. In addition to weekend’s away racing, the club have a lively social atmosphere, which bring the members together.
The Rowing Club compete in the National University Championships managed by BUCS.
Trials and taster sessions will begin during the first week of term after fresher's week.
You must pre-register to attend these at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.
All members must have signed up to the Club before their first fixture, whichever comes first.
The Rowing Club are coached by an experienced and qualified coach who is both a former Olympian and Henley winner.
