Netball is a key performance sport at the University and is becoming known nationwide as one of the sector’s most successful programmes. The first team currently compete in the BUCS Premier South whilst the second and third teams were both league winners in 2015-16. In addition to the representative programme, there is also the opportunity to compete for a team in the UH Campus Netball league.


The Netball Club compete in the National University League and Cup programme managed by BUCS.

1st Team: Premier South and Championship
2nd Team: South Eastern Tier 3B and Conference Cup
3rd Team: South Eastern Tier 6B and Conference Cup

Club Trials

Trials and taster sessions will begin during the first week of term after fresher's week.

You must pre-register to attend these at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.

All members must have signed up to the Club before their first fixture, whichever comes first.


The Netball Club coaching structure is led by Mel Mansfield, Assistant Coach to the Hertfordshire Mavericks, with other experienced Level 2 coaches coaching and managing the sides.
