Athletics Success
In track and field this month there were excellent results for athletes in our Herts Talented Athlete Programme (HTAP) and for our Performance Sport Scholars. HTAP athetes Amelia Gittens and Tianna Rizzo completed a 1st and 2nd in the Herts Counties U17 200m, with Amelia securing the win in 25.4s. Tiana managed to claim her own gold medal in the U17 100m, crossing the line in 12.19s.
James Hanson ran a blistering 20.87s 200m, 0.03s off of his personal best (set this season), in the Loughborough international to take home the gold. Blink and you'll miss it!
Multi-sport Success
Keira Ferns (pictured), one of our HTAP athletes, is a multi-sport athlete competing in Hockey, Football and Netball . This month, Keira competed with the U16 Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) England team in an international match VS Wales, coming away with a 1-1 draw. Not satisfied with this fantastic achievement, Keira also helped lead her Netball team Turnford NC to a bronze at the U16 England Netball National Finals!
It's our privilege to support phenomal athletes like these guys at Performance Herts. We can't wait to see what will happen in June!
