We are looking for an exceptional and proactive individual to join the University of Hertfordshire’s Sports Development team and be part of the HertSquad Athletic Union programme. The post offers a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to develop professionally and demonstrate direct impact on the student experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities include:
You will plan, co-ordinate and oversee the delivery of the HertSquad events programme and assist with the day-to-day running of the University’s Athletic Union programme in-line with the current Sports and Active Lifestyles strategy.
You will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues from across the University to ensure HertSquad programmes are embedded into the student experience and provide support to Athletic Union sports club coaches and committees in a friendly and professional manner to ensure student engagement in the programme.
Skills and experience needed:
You will have experience of working in Sports Development, and/or the Sports Industry and be able to demonstrate an insight-led approach to assist in the development of successful initiatives and positive experiences for the customer. You will have experience in organising and delivering sports development programmes and have worked or volunteered at sporting events.
You will believe strongly in adopting and promoting service excellence across all programmes and have a passion for engaging others into an active lifestyle with the ability to adapt to different situations. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised, work well under pressure and be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy and vibrant environment
